Who can open a FC Plus Account ?

There are two kinds of FC Plus Accounts available; Non-Resident FC Plus and Resident FC Plus.

Resident FC Plus:
If you are a resident Sri Lankan citizen receiving foreign remittances regularly you can open a Resident FC Plus Account. This account can be opened as an individual account in your name. You can even open an account jointly with one or more parties.

Non Resident FC Plus:
If you are a Sri Lankan citizen working / residing outside Sri Lanka you are eligible to open this account.  You can open an account while you are abroad or within 90 days of your return to Sri Lanka. Joint accounts can also be opened provided all account holders are residing outside Sri Lanka.

Whatever the account type you choose, you will also be entitled to a ATM/Debit card with Global access.

How to open a FC Plus Account ?

An initial deposit (inward remittance or currency brought in by the account holder) of 5,000/- in any of the 4 designated currencies is all you need to open a FC Plus Account. There are no limitations on subsequent deposits.

Visit a Branch or a Supermarket Banking Counter of the Commercial Bank most convenient to you and open a Resident FC Plus Account today. Remember to take your National Identity Card, Driving Licence or Passport along.

If you are a Sri Lankan citizen working or residing outside Sri Lanka and wish to open a Non-Resident FC Plus Account you may download an Application Form, complete and send it along with the required documents to the Branch or Supermarket Banking Counter of your choice.
